Our Donor Privacy Policy
Hope Ignites is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors.
Hope Ignites collects and uses the following types of donor information:
- Contact information: name, organization affiliations, complete address(es), phone number(s), email address(es)
- Payment information: credit card number, expiration date and related billing information, which is used only for donation processing.
- Requests to receive periodic updates: e.g., to individuals who request it, Hope Ignites will send periodic newsletters, mailings and/or emails related to specific fundraising events or appeals.
Hope Ignites uses donor information to complete donation transactions, to communicate with donors and to keep donors informed about our organization’s activities. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes.
Hope Ignites also maintains an internal record of each donor’s giving history. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is used in our development process of analyzing overall giving in order to make accurate budget projections.
Hope Ignites does not sell, trade, rent, lease or share donor information with or to other organizations. We assure you that use of donor information is limited to the internal purposes of Hope Ignites.
Hope Ignites periodically recognizes donors by publishing donor names in Hope Ignites materials, unless a donor has specifically chosen the “anonymous” option when making a donation.
Finally, it is our desire that we do not send unwanted mail to our donors. Please contact us if you wish to be removed from our mailing list. Additionally, our email communications provide an “unsubscribe” mechanism to have your email address removed from our electronic contact list if you wish to do so.
If you have comments or questions about our donor privacy policy, please call 314-298-1250 or email [email protected] .
