From Our President and CEO Kristin Ostby de Barillas
Boys Hope Girls Hope is pulling together our phenomenal teams from 14 US and two Latin American cities as we prepare for and respond to the coronavirus. The health and safety of the 1,200 young people we serve, our more than 300 team members and full-time volunteers, families and community is our number one concern right now.
We are focused on making sure that our more than 400 college students whose campuses may be closing are able to come home safely, visit a nearby affiliate, or stay at the home of Boys Hope Girls Hope community members. Were ramping up our online life skills, college and career prep activities for our residential and academy scholars whose schools are closed, and working closely with families to make sure they’re safe and in contact with us.
Our prayers are with everyone impacted by this rapidly evolving and challenging situation.
We are encouraging the Boys Hope Girls Hope community to be mindful and prepared, practice self-care, and remain mission-focused.
