For the past nine years, Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars have sought out opportunities to help their communities for our annual National Day of Service (NDOS).
Our NDOS is scheduled in line with Global Youth Service Day, an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. NDOS projects are coordinated by our AmeriCorps members, who take on the leadership role to fulfill an important requirement of their service year (participation in a day of service). In addition to having a positive impact on the community, projects are designed to create fond memories and a sense of accomplishment and encourage participants to continue volunteering in the future.
Highlighted below are just a few of the many National Day of Service projects carried out by scholars, staff, and volunteers across the network.
To submit your NDOS project, or for more information about future volunteer opportunities, please contact Julie Linder, Communications Coordinator, by calling (573) 268-0639 or emailing jlinder@bhgh.org
